Article on the ‘Besser leben!’ project published in ‘Teaching and Teacher Education’

An article by Inga Wagner, Teresa Noichl, Malte Cramer, Gabriele E. Dlugosch and Ingmar Hosenfeld has been published in the journal ‘Teaching and Teacher Education’. The article analyses moderating factors of the effectiveness of the ‘Besser leben!’ seminar in 122 teachers (83% female). The teachers' professional experience had no significant moderating influence on effectiveness. There were comparatively greater positive effects for teachers with initially lower levels of self-care and mindfulness and initially higher levels of stress and fatigue. Overall, however, positive effects were found for all groups, suggesting that mindfulness and self-care are resources for promoting teachers' mental health. The full article is available until 26 May 2024 at the following link: https://authors.elsevier.com/c/1ityA,Gtqw3dqw. A publication on the results of the medium-term effectiveness of the seminar after one year is currently in preparation.
