Disputation by Heike Liepelt

On 18 October 2024, Heike Liepelt successfully defended her dissertation entitled ‘The challenge of parent counselling - How teachers learn to deal with a professional task for which they are not trained’. As a doctoral student at the Zentrum für Empirische Pädagogische Forschung, Ms Liepelt researches counselling-related learning processes of teachers from a practice and expertise theory perspective. In her reconstructive interview study, she was able to demonstrate the diversity of approaches to the counselling task by teachers and discusses implications for teacher training.

The dissertation was reviewed by Prof Dr Josef Strasser and Prof Dr Wiebke Waburg.
