Two teaching awards for the zepf
Teresa Noichl and Tamara Nold were awarded the teaching prizes of the University Didactics Centre (HDA) on Teaching Day. The judges took into account both the teaching concepts submitted and the teaching evaluations of the last two semesters. They agreed that our academic staff not only motivate their students, but also support them in making learning progress and expanding their understanding of health and academic work.
Teresa Noichl received the teaching award for her seminar Health and Wellbeing for Teachers. The aim of the seminar is to provide students with a basic understanding of health and wellbeing, looking at theory, scientific evidence, personal application and application in schools in the context of teaching and school development. Topics covered in the seminar include stress and burnout as well as concepts and approaches to health promotion such as mindfulness, self-care, positive psychology, exercise, nutrition and sleep.
Tamara Nold was honoured for her seminar Introduction to Academic Writing. In this course, student teachers in their first semester are specifically prepared for writing academic papers. Various phases of the research process are discussed and tried out, from the structure of an academic paper and the development of a research idea to formulating and citing. Students also try out the use of generative AIs and evaluate their benefits and limitations.
