Survey of Worms parents on the care of primary school children

On behalf of the city of Worms, zepf conducted a survey of parents whose children were attending primary school or their final year of kindergarten at the time of the survey. The aim of the survey was to document the need for afternoon care for schoolchildren aged 6-13 in Worms. The survey included 14 Worms primary schools and 49 Worms kindergartens and daycare centers.

The survey was conducted using a questionnaire developed by zepf in cooperation with the city of Worms. The questionnaire was designed to determine how children in Worms were cared for in the afternoon at that time and what the demand for childcare options was in elementary school and the orientation level. Using this data, the city of Worms can further develop existing programs such as supervised elementary school, after-school care, all-day schools, etc., and adapt them to parents' needs.

The survey was conducted in two waves: The survey of parents of new school children in the 2018/2019 school year began with registration for first grade on September 20, 2017, and ended on November 3, 2017. The survey of parents of elementary school children began after the fall break, on October 16, 2017, and continued until November 24, 2017. The final report on the survey was completed and presented to municipal decision-making bodies.
