Evaluation of the state pilot project “Prevention for people with a migrant background – focus on diabetes” by the State Center for Health Promotion in Rhineland-Palatinate (LZG)

The state-level project “Prevention for people with a migrant background – focus on diabetes” aims to design prevention services in the healthcare system on the basis of structure-building networking in such a way that they are tailored to the needs of people with a migrant background and are better accepted and used by them. The aim of the evaluation is to review the long-term effectiveness of the measures offered and the materials developed.

Four target groups are addressed:
a) People with a migrant background in general
b) Diabetes patients with a migrant background
c) Mediators with a migrant background
d) Healthcare providers with and without a migrant background

The surveys will take place at three measurement points: at the start of the project, at the end of the project, and six months later.
